Dear Sponsor,

Rodeo is an exciting sport and it is growing vastly throughout the world. Rodeo represents our country’s western beginnings and history throughout time. I am proud to keep the west alive and participate in this great sport. As the sport of barrel racing is spreading across the world and becoming a world wide phenomenon, it becomes more difficult to go down the road and compete. It comes down to associations, companies, and businesses such as yours to keep us contestants going. I am a proud competitor in rodeo and even more proud of such support that allows me to share my passion for horses and the event of barrel racing with the world.

Thank you,

Starting with the Stats!

Fans. ProRodeo attracts about 30 million fans

, many of whom attend PRCA-sanctioned rodeos around the country annually. According to the Sports Business Daily, rodeo is

seventh in overall attendance

for major sporting events,

ahead of golf and tennis

. Fans can follow professional rodeo all year long through the PRCA’s television coverage on Great American Country and the Pursuit channel, the PRCA’s

ProRodeo

Sports News and ProRodeo.com as well as other rodeo-related media outlets.Competition.

Unlike most other professional sports, where contestants are paid salaries regardless of how well they do at a particular competition, contestants pay to enter each rodeo. If they place high enough to win money, they probably make a profit, but if they don’t, they’ve actually lost their entry fee and any travel expenses, so every entry is a gamble. PRCA-sanctioned rodeos vary world wide. The size, shape, perimeter and roof/open top of an arena, as well as the chute configuration, greatly affect times for timed events. For that reason, the most fair way to measure cowboys’ success in competition across the varied settings is by earnings. Slide9

Starting with the Stats!

Charities. PRCA-sanctioned rodeos annually raise many millions of dollars for local and national charities, from college scholarships for local students to the national Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign against breast cancer.

Television.

All nine Gold Tour rodeos of the Wrangler Million Dollar Tour presented by Justin Boots will be televised on the Pursuit channel, reaching 38 million households via DISH Network and DirecTV. Great American Country will telecast 90-minute shows on Seminole Hard Rock

Xtreme

Bulls Tour events as well as the RNCFR, All American

ProRodeo

Finals, Justin Boots Playoffs and Championships and the Wrangler NFR, reaching 60 million households via DISH Network and DirecTV.

Demographics. The PRCA’s nearly 4 million loyal attendees across the U.S are about 49 percent male and 51 percent female; 63 percent have household income of $50,000 or more and 50 percent have children in the household. In surveys, 81 percent report that they have had a soft drink in the previous 30 days, 50 percent have had a beer in the previous 30 days and 95 percent have eaten at a fast food restaurant in the previous 30 days.

ProRodeo fans come from all walks of life, but as a group, they are demographically similar to NASCAR fans, and are likely to also enjoy hunting, fishing and camping. ProRodeo.com. The PRCA maintains a website with the latest news stories, cowboy blogs, world standings, rodeo results, cowboy and livestock bios, and tons of other information. The PRCA also has a

Facebook presence. Slide11

STARTING WITH THE STAts!

Annually, the PRCA sanctions about 600 of the most elite multiple-event rodeos on the continent, in 37 states and three Canadian provinces – the cream of the crop among thousands of rodeo-related events that take place each year in North America.

The WPRA approved over 1,300 events (500 rodeos and 800 jackpots) and had a total professional rodeo payout of over $5.2 million in 2012. WPRA members compete for millions of dollars in prize money each year and are now featured in their own television show,

Women’s Pro Rodeo Today,

which airs several times a week during prime time on RFD-TV. Slide13

Televised Rodeos!! Pro Rodeos are often televised, therefore contestants wear patches or embroidered logos of your company on their shirts. This is also is good advertisement as the crowd meets the cowboys and cowgirls before, during, and after rodeo performances.

Announcers also announce your sponsors at times as the contestant enters and competes in the arena. With approximately 35-50,000 miles traveled each year, magnets or paint jobs for trucks and trailers supporting your company logos and phone numbers are viewed throughout the country, on the road, and from stop to stop. Estimated several million viewers.

Always keeping your contestant stocked with business cards, merchandise, and or brochures to hand out.

Not only can your contestant support your company, their horses can as well with logos on tack, blankets, sheets, halters, and more.

Many contestants support many great causes and do many benefits for cancer, tough enough, and more. As a contestant representing your company on clothing during these benefits, your company is now involved in supporting these special events as well.
