The role of the School Library Media Specialist
(SLMS) is to find and use resources to maintain a competitive presence
in the field of Education and teach skills that will equip students for life in the global 21st century. Literary and technology skills must be taught to all students, void of learning differences or diverse backgrounds. The SLMS must have an active role in keeping curriculum current and relevant. Their position in today’s world is indispensable.
