20 20 KIDS FOR CONSERVATION Photography & Poetry Information and Guidelines 1. Student must be in grades 6 – 8 . 2. Each student may submit one photograph or one poem . Students will be disqualified for submitting multiple entries . Each school may submit a total of 8 photographs and 8 poems . 3. All submissions must be original work and have a title. 4. Subject matter must relate to nature, wildlife or conservation . 5. Entries may be no larger than 11” x 14”. 6. Entries will be judged on the following criteria: a. Creativity b. Relevance to nature, wildlife and conservation c. Quality of photograph 7. Entries must be submitted in hard copy. Digital version s may be emailed in addition to srisher @sewe.com . Color of photograph is at the discretion of photographer. 8. Students must attach one copy of the form to the back of the entry . Teachers must email an Excel spreadsheet (example included) containing the students information. 9. Entries are due by 5:00 p. m. on Monday, November 1 8 , 201 9 , and should be hand delivered to the SEWE office, 211 Meeting Street, 2 nd Floor, Charleston, SC 29401 or mailed to PO Box 20635, Charleston, SC 29413. (Do not mail posters to physical address!) 10. Entries submitted may be printed in SEWE publications, website, and local media. 11. Winners will be announced the week of December 9 th and prizes will be mailed to teachers mid - December. 12. Entries will be picked up from the library by the SEWE staff and m ailed to the school (at the teacher’s attention) in early March.
