Officer Rules of ConductADHERENCE TO LAW:New Orleans Police Department requires its employees to follow local, state and federal law

COURTESY:

New Orleans Police Department requires its employees to be courteous, civil, and respectful to all people.TRUTHFULNESS:

NOPD’s employee rules require NOPD employees to be truthful at all times.

UNAUTHORIZED FORCE:

NOPD dictates that its employees shall not use or direct unjustifiable physical abuse, violence, force, or intimidation against any person.

FAILURE TO COOPERATE/WITHHOLDING INFORMATION

rules dictate that NOPD employees shall not withhold any information, that would affect the conclusions of an investigation.

employees are required to conduct themselves in a professional manner with the utmost concern for the dignity of the individual with whom they are interacting.
