The role of the monarchMany opinions are offered by political and legal experts. Three
roles
are often mentioned. First, the monarch is the personal embodiment of the government of the country. This means that people
can
be as
critical as they like about the real government, and can argue that it should be thrown out, without being accused of being unpatriotic.Second, it is argued that the monarch could act as a final check on a government that was becoming dictatorial. If the government ever managed to pass a bill through Parliament which was obviously terribly bad and very unpopular, the monarch could refuse the royal assent and the bill would not become law.Third, the monarch has a very practical role to play. By being a figurehead and representing the country, Queen Elizabeth II can perform the ceremonial duties which heads of state often have to spend their time on. This way, the real government has more time to get on with the actual job of running the country.Slide4

nce Charles’ wife. She was glamorous and popular figure during her lifetime. She was leading charity activity, visiting hospitals, cheering ill people up. She took part in the campaign against mines, She was The Red Cross's volunteer. She was guiding and supporting lots of activities, which were helping the poorest people. How do children grow up?
The members of the Royal Family are believed to live in ‘a golden cage’.
As it comes to bringing up the children the British Royal Family has not exactly been renowned for their good parenting. Children had been raised traditionally with the help of full time nannies, who used to play an enormous role in their lives. The were seeing their parents only occasionally. When the descendants of the Royal Family reached certain age they were usually sent to boarding schools for further education. The male descendants continued their education in military schools. The coolness of such a model of bringing up their offspring frequently resulted in future difficulties of their descendants in forming proper relationships in adult life. Now, methods of education are changing and the youngest members of Royal Family want to educate their children on their own.
