Think about shops, coffee shops, local businesses, etc. Any sponsorship need a Sponsorship Agreement Form Sponsorship Can also be found on the Tim Aber Resource Hub Top tips: Talk through your idea! Be creative and play to your club/society strengths! Collaborate, if you have a great idea work together! Look outside Aberystwyth University, see what other university groups have done! Example Activity Ideas: 24 hour challenge Bake sale Raffle (go the extra step and have items donated by sponsors) Put on a show Run your own completion Themed movie night Sell items (e.g. used text books) Run a pop up car wash Run a photo completion Sponsor Suggestions: Tesco: contact James the Community Champion to see what they can donate Spar: Blakemore Foundation Fundraising Speak to the Opportunities Team! When to make a budget: Create one for your whole year ahead For each activity you run that may cost Include information such as: The total cost (always include VAT) Number of attendees How much it will cost per person Where else you will get income from (e.g. existing funds in account, sponsorship, donations, etc.) Breakdown of expenses (e.g. fuel, supplies, entry, clothing, etc.) Budgeting If you need help get in touch with your coordinator! Careers also offer budgeting advice SAGE New Layout of reports Still working on improving reports Carried forward balances haven’t been bought forward yet so don’t panic To request a report have your mandated person email sufstaff@aber.ac.uk or go to reception Money In Don’t hold money yourself Don’t use personal bank accounts Pay cheques to Aberystwyth University Students’ Union Set up Online Payments for events / items Use the Income Receipt Form to pay cash or cheques in Ask your coordinator! Forms can be found on the Resource Hub or collected from Reception Money Out Use the Payment Request Form Form signed by mandated person - President & Treasurer Attach receipts Bring invoices in or send the to sufstaff@aber.ac.uk Hand in by 12pm Wednesday Over £40 – Bank Details Under £40 – Cash Forms can be found on the Resource Hub or collected from Reception Fill in the mandate form Pay all money in (mostly via website) Claim money back - don’t go overdrawn Pay
