slide1. Act for America (Insert Chapter Location Here)
(Insert Month Here) Chapter Meeting
slide2. “Secure Our Borders” is an ACT for America activism campaign focused on raising awareness to the issues surrounding our country's national security. We believe there is nothing wrong with making sure the people entering our country don’t want to harm us.
slide3. The Talking Points Border Security: PEW Research reported in 2015 that the US illegal immigrant population was at 11.3 million. Many of whom entered illegally on the southwest border, this is a major national security threat which must be addressed.

Through chain migration each new legal immigrant has sponsored an average of 3.45 additional immigrants.

Immigrant Vetting: Based on all intelligence and studies, 15%-25% of Muslims around the world are considered “radical” and would be a threat to US public safety. It is in the best interest of national security to vet immigrants thoroughly BEFORE they come to the United States.
slide4. The Talking Points Continued DID YOU KNOW? Sayfullo Saipov, the radical Islamic terrorist who murdered 8 people in NYC, entered the US through the Diversity Visa Program? It’s time to start merit-based immigration & end the Diversity Lottery.

The Port Authority bomber, Akayed Ullah, entered the US through chain migration. Merit-based immigration will allow for extreme vetting and help

There is nothing wrong with making sure the people coming into America don’t want to harm us and will assimilate into Western culture.
slide5. “Illegal immigration is not just a matter of interest in states along our border with Mexico. It is having an effect on local economies, schools, health care delivery, and public safety all across the country.” -US Senator Roger Wicker
slide14. Write a Letter to the Editor (LTE) Example LTE: Securing our borders starts with making sure that the people entering our country do not want to harm us. Critics of common sense vetting like to throw around the words, “racism” and “xenophobia.” Instead of looking at this issue through the opaque veil of emotion, let us revisit some facts regarding the Diversity Visa Lottery and chain migration. On October 31st, 2017, Sayfullo Saipov drove a rented pickup truck down a New York City bike path, murdering eight innocent people. After plowing down these victims, he exited the truck and shouted, “Allahu Akbar.” Sayfullo was born in Uzbekistan and entered America through a Diversity Visa Lottery. Similarly, Akayed Ullah detonated a pipe bomb near the Port Authority in NYC on December 11th, 2017. Akayed entered the United States through chain migration. In both of these instances, had President Trump’s common sense vetting been in place, neither Sayfullo nor Akayed would have been able to carry out terrorism. It is evident that America does need a more qualified vetting system, as terrorists infiltrated two of our immigration programs. What is also clear is that there is nothing racist or xenophobic about making sure the people we allow into our country do not want to murder us, as we have consistently seen in New York City.
