CGSLB Belgium Development Co-operation Program 2012-2014 April 2015: TUDEP AIM for CGSLB partnership building The main objective of the TUDEP tool is to: help partners to reflect on their practice as well as the principles and values that underpin their work. helps to facilitate the monitoring and evaluation of the progress in the use of the principles and guidelines. The objective of CGSLB for the tool is to: - determine where our vision on the partnership principals differ from our partners and how can we work to bring it closer together - determine where we both agree that a certain element needs attention within our partnership program Timeline 2011-2014 Introduction workshop – all partners September 2011, Brussels Implementation workshop – all partners March 2012, Brussels Follow-up workshop – all partners April 2013, Dakar Assessment/re-scoring – all partners, after July 2014, Johannesburg completed the questionnaire again Building our Partnership: What did we do with TUDEP? Each partner prioritize the principle(s) they would like to work on during the program cycle (base on the baseline TUDEP profile from end 2011, looking at the gaps) Planning sessions during the 3 years where both the partner and CGSLB/MIS will reflect on: how to improve our partnership getting to know each other better – find good practice exchange to share within our network Partner example CGSLB (Belgium) and COSATU (South-Africa) Vision CGSLB vs COSATU on the 8 elements: 2011 CGSLB Analyses of the elements: (where do we differ most or where do we agree that work is need in our partnership?) On statements 46, 47, 48, 51 & 10 our opinions (although not 100%) indicated that we have more of less the same vision. On statements 52, 50 & 49 we were further apart, and would like to see why and if we need to work on it Deeper look: Took number of steps For example: On statement 50. ” The partners analyse and consider the impact of their actions on climate change, and green policies and jobs are supported by the programs, where relevant and feasible.” During the period under review: COSATU developed a Policy on Climate (outside scope of our work); Outcome: - it was mainstream through the CGSLB/COSATU program, were applicable - it was shared with our other partners as a good practice it was linked when developed International Policy Compare 2011 with 2014 Evaluation Number of positive items Get to know
