eCall needs wide geographic coverage and the ability to roam between networks
Emergency calls from “SIM-less” devices are not supported in many European countries
Each eCall in-vehicle system (IVS) needs an International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) number (E.212 number) for network authentication and registration (including roaming)
The eCall IVS needs a telephone number (E.164 number) to be able to make a call, and present a valid Calling Line Identity (CLI) to the PSAP for call-back EENA 2022, Vassil Krastev, ECO 8<br>
