slide3. FSRH Vision The FSRH Vision focuses on three key areas in SRH services:
Patient experience
A ‘Vision-ready’ workforce
Importance of integrated care:
Scottish Implementation of Vision
Implementation plan drawn up by Scotland committee
PR firm Pagoda Porter Novelli commissioned to increase engagement with Scottish stakeholders, particularly around key areas of women’s reproductive health such as post-pregnancy contraception and supporting a trained workforce.
Engagement event to be held early 2018<br>
slide4. Strategic Goals 2017-2020 To promote high standards of clinical practice through the provision of quality education and training to healthcare professionals delivering SRH care in the UK and internationally.
To increase recognition among policy makers and commissioners / planners of the importance of SRH to women and men over their life course
To improve standards in SRH
To strengthen and develop leadership in SRH
To strengthen and modernise the FSRH<br>

Represents devolved nation voice and Scottish interests
Committee meets twice a year to share good practice, responds to relevant consultations, advises on SRH matters and advises FSRH on Scottish matters
Committee organises an annual update day

slide11. and the devolved nations More understanding of the different political/commissioning landscapes in the devolved nations
Changes to governance arrangements pending; appointment of trustees underway now.
Devolved nations committees will be full voting members of Council
This means some changes to terms of reference, some changes to how membership of these committees is decided, and possibly some changes to committee workplan
Committee chairs meeting with CEO and President Nov/Dec 2017 and further discussions will be had with office bearers and proposals brought to committee members and Council in 2018
This requires better understanding of the whole SRH workforce and a project is proposed to do just that<br>
slide12. What’s new (General Training Committee) https://www.fsrh.org/education-and-training/letter-of-competence-subdermal-implants-loc-sdi-insertion-only/
A plea not to use FSRH training materials in non-FSRH training courses (this refers to for example using SRH essentials materials on non-branded local updates, or LoC materials on non-FSRH branded local training)
Awareness that Cof5 numbers are down across the UK as are DFSRH applications, LoC applications, and a continued commitment to review how these should be more accessible (but continue to bring in vital revenue)
SRH essentials going well everywhere but Scotland so a plea to consider running one in your area to assess demand/suitability (materials may need some minor adjustments). There is now a webinar for those who wish to facilitate on the SRH essentials<br>
slide13. What’s else is new? FSRH Diploma review - a 12-month review project in progress / have recruited a project manager (Marnie Greenrod) and now recruiting for a voluntary Clinical Lead – ANY VOLUNTEERS?

FSRH statement on the decriminalisation of abortion care November 2017
The BHIVA/BASHH/FSRH guideline for the Sexual & Reproductive Health of People living with HIV has been released for public consultation on the BHIVA website until 8 December 2017.<br>
slide14. New for 2018 Journal is relaunching as the BMJ Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare
National audit on emergency contraception is imminent
Transgender – BASHH consensus group / RCOG
Free online learning on Contraceptive Counselling
Member only resources alongside our Standards & Guidance (supporting local sharing and support)
