Civics issue The Civics issue which I have chosen is inflation. My main goal with this – is to lower prices and/or prevent them from rising any more. Inflation is a worldwide issue, affecting many different countries; not only that, but it is also tied to multiple different civics issues, including but not limited to: the housing crisis, unaffordable cost of living, and poverty. I also feel like it is notable that Canada is slowly fixing this issue, over time; however, there are many other countries who have not been as fortunate, and their costs are increasing majorly.

So far, what Canada has been doing about this issue is increasing interest rates, which does seem to have had satisfactory results. But those positive results are mostly for the more fortunate to begin with, as this really makes it worse for people who are struggling the most with money.
The prices keep rising, and wages have been getting higher along with it, however, not high enough to meet the average living cost now.
Ideas to Solve this Issue Printing less money, (not stopping it completely, but limiting it)
Putting a cap on prices (however this one would be quite difficult to do internationally, and if only one country were to do it, it would probably ruin the value of that one countries currency)
Keep going with the Monetary Policy that Canada is already doing, (but, like I already mentioned, that is not the best for the working class)
Or keep going with the Fiscal Policy, which also would not be the best for lower class
Controlling wages/capping (Which, also like the last two, would not be good for working class)
Repairing Canada’s supply chains, (Would only affect Canada’s economy, but still would do something at least) meow These are color coded, (pink, green, white), as I do not want to put all of these against each other. Think of each color as a different political party. I guess. I don't know how else to put it when comparing these lol. Also, I will be excluding white out of this as white is kind of what Canada is already doing, and to choose that would basically be free.
