This is a project called #BeeWell.
The #BeeWell team are asking young people about their wellbeing and the things that are important to them.
In three years, over 60,000 young people have filled in the survey. About #BeeWell
You will be asked to complete some questions about your life, for example how you feel, how you manage your emotions and how satisfied you are with your life.
Questions also ask about your relationships, your hobbies, your health and your school
The video you are about to watch was made by young people to explain more about the #BeeWell Survey. Introducing the survey
As they said in the video, you will be asked questions in different ways.
Some of the questions use a scale to show how much you think or feel something. These can look a bit complicated at first, but they are not hard to answer.
To help you we will show you how to complete a couple of practice questions. Question types
Read the following statements and choose the answer which is right for you: If you always play football with your friends at lunchtime you would select 'Always' If you walk to school on some days but come by car other days, you would select 'Sometimes' 1) First, think about the statement ‘I play football at lunchtime’ and select one of the options: Never, Sometimes, Always. 2) Now, think about the second statement ‘I walk to school’ and select one of the options: Never, Sometimes, Always. Remember:
You can only choose ONE answer for each statement Let’s try one more question… For those doing the full #BeeWell Survey:
What happens after the survey is completed? When all the surveys are completed, the #BeeWell team will make your answers anonymous. The survey results from Greater Manchester are shared in different ways:
A school report to see how all young people in your school are answering the survey.
An online report to see how young people in different areas across Greater Manchester are answering the survey.
We share the data so that partners and schools who want to make positive changes to support young people can hear directly about the things that matter to you. Remember, your answers will always be kept anonymous.
12
Surveys completed by young people so far told us that... 1 in 3 young people are doing at least one hour of physical activity per day
44% of young people don't feel like they get enough sleep to feel awake during the day
60% of young people think they have good places to go in their free time
And much more!
As a result of these findings, almost £1 million has been put into Greater Manchester's communities by #BeeWell partners!
Any questions?
Remember, if you don't want to answer a question that's fine, just move onto the next one.
