CSIR-Tech - Details CSIR-Tech Private Limited (“CTPL”) – has been created by the Entrepreneurship Development Center [a Section 25 private limited company and technology business incubator created under the CSIR scheme titled "Scheme for setting up incubation centers in CSIR laboratories" (OM No. 4/CMG/2006-TNBD dated 16 June 2006; scheme approved by the 166th meeting of the GB of CSIR) and is an approved technology business incubator supported and recognized by the Department of Science and Technology – National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board, Government of India].

CTPL was created in response to a recommendation of a High Powered Committee constituted by the CSIR and is in the business of commercializing technologies and intellectual property primarily by identifying suitable spin-out/ new venture creation opportunities with or without equity participation, developing them further and then spinning them out as start-up enterprises.

CTPL aims to leverage private investments and entrepreneurial energy to aggressively pursue commercialization, innovation and entrepreneurship based on cutting edge-science IP, as developed at the CSIR labs. This will accelerate translation of technology into products and services, and thereby create a significant jump in value creation for the economy, the society and the Nation through these scientific endeavors. © CSIR-Tech Pvt Ltd 3<br>
