CTPL was created in response to a recommendation of a High Powered Committee constituted by the CSIR and is in the business of commercializing technologies and intellectual property primarily by identifying suitable spin-out/ new venture creation opportunities with or without equity participation, developing them further and then spinning them out as start-up enterprises. CTPL aims to leverage private investments and entrepreneurial energy to aggressively pursue commercialization, innovation and entrepreneurship based on cutting edge-science IP, as developed at the CSIR labs.
