The work of the LSSP is embedded in systems. Systems operate according to established principles. Problem Solving Approach Determine whether or not the matter truly involves ethics. Consult existing guidelines that might apply as a possible mechanism for resolution. Pause to consider, as best as possible, all factors that might influence the decision you will make. Consult with a trusted colleague. Evaluate the rights, responsibilities, and vulnerability of all affected parties. Generate alternative decisions. Enumerate the consequences of making each decision. Make the decision.
