Nominating committee will begin identifying candidates for Chapter officers.

Personal emails- our chapter 2 out of compliance
Chapter Engagement:
• The membership committee will provide an update our new member intake next steps

Membership Report Reminder: December Holiday Party on Sunday, December 15 from 3pm-6pm at Link Susan Bass Roberts home.
New Member Intake status: Voting took place on 11/2/24 at the Chapter meeting and a revote took place on Wednesday, 12/4/24. The Membership Committee will await final direction from President Lezlie Taylor before moving forward with any additional preparation for New Member Intake (submissions to Nationals, invitation letters, etc.).
The Membership Committee will work with the Executive Committee to review Organization Effectiveness needs of our chapter.
Vote needed: Link Cecelia Clements has requested a leave of absence for the 2025-2026 Program Year. The Chapter must vote on this request.

HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES (HHS) BLACK KARE
There was discussion are moving donor day activities to include at Life Source table at the
Black Family Wellness event
No information has been received yet about submitting a proposal for BLACK KARE
Link Duchess has been appointed
ORAL HEALTH INITIATIVE
There was request from Link Lezlie based on a conversation with Delta Dental to put together a proposal for $10K that would run for two years to conduct Smiles for Life for people of color and for immigrants. It would involve kids and parents; it’s about education and screening; if we are awarded the funds would be for next year
HHS facet learned that grant was awarded to chapter
Plan is to partner with groups with whom the facets are already involved to deploy programming with St Paul Magnet School, Midtown YWCA There was discussion about doing the event well and not rushing it with the pilot in such a short time frame. There was a recommendation from the Committee to incorporate this initiative into the Black Family Wellness Expo<br>

There will be a chapter activity to incorporate wearing red dresses and provide relevant story telling during the meeting
There will also be an article placed in the newspaper related to cardiovascular health
BLACK FAMILY WELLNESS EXPO (SATURDAY, MARCH 15, 2025) - LINKS SHARON AND STEPHANIE
A brief run of show will be sent out to the group and included with the minutes; it includes all components from last year and expands on that
All Committee members are asked to volunteer to help by reaching out to Link Sharon
Three rooms and the parking lot have been reserved at U Rock for a cost of $TBD

Scholarship Committee The Committee Reviewed the Proposed Committee Workplan and discussed the following:
The Committee will discuss scholarship criteria and eligibility requirements to determine necessary revisions to the Scholarship Application in order to align with the scholarship purpose, criteria and eligibility requirements
The committee will devise a scoring mechanism to align with scholarship purpose, criteria and eligibility requirements
The committee will develop an outreach and promotion plan to include the utilization of Peach Jar Schools district electronic flyer communication tool
The Committee reviewed the proposed Workplan Timeline by month. The Committee will develop a more detailed timeline for the scholarship application submission process.
The Committee had a brief discussion about creating a proposal or model to determine the number and value of future scholarship awards. They also considered designating a scholarship specifically for students intending to attend an HBCU. The Committee determined any decision would need to be approved by the Chapter.<br>
