Non-Credit Workforce Education Reporting Beth Stewart, Senior Research Specialist, ADHE Changes to Reporting Arkansas Workforce Challenge Scholarship – Act 605/606 of 2009 requirements apply Current reporting is course level only Student level reporting being added AY2019 Non-Credit Workforce Education Course File Current Non-Credit Workforce File becomes Non-Credit Workforce Course File No changes to format of file Remains an end of term report Non-Credit Workforce Education Student File New file format Requires student level reporting File abbreviation .WRKS One record per student per course Student A takes two non-credit workforce courses in one term, one record will be required for each course. All institutions reporting the WRK file must report the WRKS file regardless of participation in Workforce Challenge. Any 4year Universities who do not currently report Non-Credit Workforce will be required to report if they choose to participate in Workforce Challenge for Non-credit courses. Student File, Required Data Elements For ALL Non-Credit Workforce Students Student College ID Student Name Workforce Challenge Recipient: Y/N Unique Course Sequence Number Must match Non-Credit Workforce Course File EDIT: New SIS manual does not specify that this is a required field for all students. However, it must be populated regardless of if the student is a Workforce Challenge recipient. If “Workforce Challenge Recipient” is reported as No, all other fields may be left blank. If “Workforce Challenge Recipient” is reported as Yes, all other fields are required to be populated. Institutions may choose to report optional fields for students who did not receive the Workforce Challenge Scholarship, if they so choose. Student File, Required Data Elements for Workforce Challenge Students SSN Date of Birth Gender Non-Resident Alien Status Race/Ethnicity CEUs Attempted – for this course only CEUs Completed – for this course only Annual Financial Aid File Workforce Challenge Recipients must be reported in the Annual Financial Aid file Includes non-credit students who were not credit seeking at the institution during that academic year.
