New branding Over 1000 responses year 7-11 Responses from across the country Responses by region #1 – the queues are too long #2 – cost #3 – prefer food from home (i.e. offer is not right) #4 – School runs out of food Why are students not eating with us How can we use technology to combat How can we use the new menu coupled with better counter planning and execution to improve Improved menu based on insight The top 6 concepts are entirely shared across the north and south There were no statistically significant differences between years 7 to 11 Shared core concepts British American Italian Chinese Mexican Indian North South Based on how frequently our students told us they wanted to eat the meals, there are some differences. Green = common to all North/South preferences Roast Burger Breaded Chicken Hot Dog Sandwich Sweet and Sour Chicken Chicken Chow Mein Chicken Satay Chicken Tikka Masala Korma curry Pizza Spaghetti Bolognese Burrito Tacos Thai Green Curry Fish and Chips Balti Curry Meatballs in tomato sauce Burrito Steamed buns Biryani Curry lasagne Quesadilla Pad Thai Salad Station North South The most popular meals, voted as eaten most frequently across the majority of students Standard meals common to all The only difference between the vege and meat preferred concepts is the lack of presence of Chinese in the vege analysis Vegetarian preferences Secondary students, unlike primary said that they wanted to see more rotation and innovation in the menu, they are not as concerned about having consistency. So, although they like their core meals and want to see these regularly, they also want to see more sparks of innovation throughout. Innovation and frequency of change The menu… Chosen by our students The menu has been built based on insight using mathematical algorithms. The main hot meals are displayed as option 1 and 2. Optional 1 is the ‘must cook’ for everyone. If you are a larger site, you can choose to have a second option on your counter and in this instance you would run option 2. Our everyday faves are the dishes that our consumers have told us they want to purchase everyday! Within these you will
