slide8. Scenarios
slide9. Margarida’s Scenario (1) Margarida’s always looking for some extra pocket money to go shopping. What she already accomplished by advertising on her fitness blog and Instagram, she now also does through saving some money on the electricity bill of her rented apartment, thanks to the new EDP fitness app. In the morning Margarida leaves home for a quick run before classes start, taking her fitbit wristband with her to keep track of what she ran. After her college classes, she still feels energetic enough to do a training session at the gym. She makes sure to take her phone with her, so that besides updating her Instagram story, she can also sync the gym machines with her fitness app, keeping track of the exercise she’s done. At the end of the training session, she decides to check her EDP app to see how much she saved on her energy bill so far. After verifying that the app has already imported the info from the morning run and the gym session from her main fitness app, she notices she’s almost eligible for the 10% discount on the bill even though it’s still just the middle of the month. She feels proud of herself and thankful to EDP for providing discounts for something she would already do anyway, and in her head she rants on why there aren’t more considerate companies like EDP taking these kind of initiatives.
slide10. Margarida’s Scenario (2) Margarida likes to be able to join usefulness to pleasentries. As such, she decided to go running to the riverside and take some new pictures to share with her Instagram followers. While running, she turned on the app that tracks her training. After her workout, she noticed she had achieved the 10% discount on her electric bill, so she took a printscreen of her running route on the app's map, which she shared in her instagram stories stating how happy she was, which also raises awareness to the app, due to her amount of followers.
slide11. Ricardo’s Scenario Ricardo is always checking the latest trending applications on the app store. One morning, while waiting for the next episode of his favorite tv show to load, he casually checks the app store and notices a recommendation for a new EDP app. He starts reading the description and after reading the magic words “discounts on the energy bill” he immediately decides it’s worth the download.Opening the app, he realizes the discounts are based on the physical activity of the client. He thinks of how that’s a good extra motivation to stop missing the gym trainings but by the time he’s considering to leave home the episode has finally ended loading. He decides the show is too good to trade a bing watching session for a discount on the electric bill, so he just closes the app and settles for trying it sometime next week (or not).
slide12. Sofia’s Scenario Sofia is attending a crossfit box, where the sports practice is competitive and collective. There is strong cooperation between the different athletes, where they help each other in order to perform better as a group, since many of the workouts are performed in teams. As a way to obtain insight about the caloric expenditure, some machines have the information of how much was the expenditure of the sportsman. Sofia takes advantage of this to try to keep improving her good shape, and to exploit its competitiveness. In Sofias’s Crossfit box, there are multiple exercises in circuit, with the aim of obtaining the maximum yield, thus achieving a positive evolution. Sofia is satisfied with the results she worked hard for, and takes advantage of the informations she can obtain from the digital devices in her gym.
slide13. Artur’s Scenario Artur wakes up in the morning and takes breakfast with his family. While doing that he checks his physical activity tracking app what he already did this week. Artur goes to work by cycling, which helps him stay active despite having a desk job. At the end of the day, Artur cycles home, and, after dinner with his family, he’ll go to his usual basketball practice with his friends, which usually last around 1 hour. Upon returning home, Artur sees in his application his performance during the current month and posts it on Facebook.
