Pre-Sales Certifications - FAQs I want a Proven Pre-Sales Pro certification, but there’s no online Pre-Sales assessment listed in the Partner Certification Playlist. What can I do? There’s no 3rd-party technical exam available for my product. How can I get my Certified Pre-Sales Expert certification? Where can I find information on how to register for the 3rd party technical exam? Why do I get three certifications if I pass the 3rd party technical exam for Cyber Security and VMware products, but not for legacy CA products? Submit a video recording using the online application form - or have a Broadcom Subject Matter Expert send an email that validates your capability to demonstrate the features and functions of the product. Fill out the online Certified Expert Application form listed in the Certification Playlist and submit it, along with documented proof that you’ve performed 2 POC/POV engagements for Customers, for evaluation as a Certified Pre-Sales Expert. The Cyber Security and VMware technical exams encompass and test the foundational technical knowledge required for three functional roles – Pre-Sales, Implementation and Support.

The 3rd party exams for legacy CA products do not contain a Pre-Sales element - therefore passing one of those exams only certifies you for the Implementation and Support roles. As a key member of our valued Pinnacle, Premier and Select Partner ecosystem, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to earn your product certifications and demonstrate your proven expertise to your Customers. To help you do this (subject to the terms below), we are offering to cover the cost of your exam with Vouchers so that you can fast track your Certification. We recommend that you take your exams within three months of receipt of your exam Voucher.
Broadcom will provide a maximum of one Voucher per person, per exam, per product.
A Voucher is good for one attempt per exam. Email your Voucher request to Richard Carlson, Global Enablement Lead at Broadcom (richard.carlson@broadcom.com) and Stacey Brooks (stacey.brooks@broadcom.com) for approval. In the ‘Subject’ line of your email, please state “Broadcom Exam Voucher Request” and in the body of the email, please include the following details for each individual Voucher requested:
