slide4. www.communitysouthwark.org | @cosouthwark What is Budgeting? Budgeting is the process of planning how to use your money. In simple terms, it means creating a plan for your income (money you receive) and expenses (money you spend) over a certain period of time.<br>

Planning how that money will be spent to support the organisation’s mission (on programs, staff, rent, supplies, etc.).
Ensuring there is enough money to cover costs, avoid overspending, and be prepared for emergencies.<br>

Define your mission goals for the budgeting period (usually a year).
