IU Health Laboratory Services 350 W 11 th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202 - 4108 | Fax 317.491.6001 New MiraVista Diagnostics Interface Launch Effective Date: Ma y 20th , 202 1 Contact: Sendout Department Overview : On May 20, 2021, the IU Health Pathology Laboratory will lau n ch an additional reference lab interface within Cerner’s Reference Lab Network : MiraVista Diagnostics testing . This new interface will replace manual ordering and resulting with electronic ordering and interfaced results . The anticipated outcomes will be p rimarily patient safety with electronic ordering and resulting decreasing the chances of incorrect or improper orders and inaccurate results. Other anticipated outcomes will be improved turnaround time for results and a smoother ordering/report entry proce ss resulting in less ordering confusion. Ordering will not change. The IU Health Laboratory Test Directory will be updated accordingly. MiraVista tests available in the first round of interfaced testing include: Histoplasma Ab IgG/IgM EIA, CS F Coccidioides Antigen QN EIA, Serum/Plasma Histoplasma Ab IgG/IgM EIA, Serum/Plasma Coccidioides Antigen QN EIA, Urine Blastomyces Antigen QN EIA, Urine Histoplasma Antigen QN EIA, Serum/Plasma Blastomyces Antigen QN EIA, Serum/Plasma Histoplasma Antigen QN EIA, CSF Blastomyces Antigen QN EIA, CSF Histoplasma Antigen QN EIA, Urine Blastomyces Antigen QN EIA, BAL Histoplasma Antigen QN EIA, Body Fluid Coccidioides Antigen QN EIA, BAL Histoplasma Antigen QN EIA, BAL Coccidioides Antigen QN EIA, CSF Aspergillus Gala ctomannan Ag EIA/Serum (1 - 3) Beta - D - Glucan, Serum (Fungitell) Aspergillus Galactomannan Ag EIA/BAL (1 - 3) Beta - D - Glucan, CSF (Fungitell) Aspergillus Galactomannan Ag EIA/CSF NOTE: Tests are now orderable by SAMPLE TYPE such as BLASTOAGUR or HISTOAGCSF . • When ordering the Histoplasma Antigen assay on body fluid, type of body fluid must be selected. • Be sure to check the test directory for minimum collection requirments as most have b een updated. • Please submit appropriate combined sample volume when multiple assays are requested on same sample type.
