Jodi Hanson Bond Vice President, Americas U.S. Chamber of Commerce Jodi Hanson Bond, vice p resident of the Americas f or the International Division at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce , manages teams dedicat ed to policy and advocacy services for C hamber clients with business interests in the Americas. Her portfolio includes management of the Brazil - U.S. Business Council, the U.S. Mexico - Leadership Initiative, and the Association of Chambers of Commerce in Latin America (ACCLA) initiatives . Prior to joi ning the Chamber, Bond was managing director and c o - CEO of Global Governance L.L.C. In the corporate arena, Bond served as vice p resident of Global Government Relations and Country Management for the Motorola Corporation. While at Motorola, she was region al director of country m anage ment for t he Americas and Israel and managed advocacy teams across the globe. Before Motorola, Bond was vice p resident of Fontheim International . T here she advised Fortune 500 companies on global tax, energy, and corporate soci al responsibility matters. Bond was appointed deputy a ssistan t s ecre tary at the U.S . Department of Energy in 2001; she co - managed an office of 125 employees while servi ng as the conduit for the U.S. secretary of Energy and a dministrator of the National Nuclear Security Administration to the U.S. C ongress. Earlier in her career, Bond held positions with Hopkins & Sutter and Foley & Lardner law firms, the U.S. House of Represen tatives, and in the Washington s tate House of Representatives and Washington’s Office of the Secretary of State. Bond holds a B.A. i n politics from Whitman College and an M.A. in g overnmen t from Johns Hopkins University. She also studie d comparative and i nternational politics at the University of London. Bond is an appointed member of Women Corporate Directors and the Economic Club of Washington. B ond resides in Washingto n, D.C. , with her husband and daughter.
