Register your team via “Member Services” on urec.uark.edu

Make sure your roster has met the MINIMUM number of players to begin a game

Basketball

Roster Minimum = 3 people

Roster Max= 10

Use the filters on the side of the page to assist you in choosing your League and then your Division

Leagues= Men’s D1, Men’s D2, Women’s etc.

Divisions= Monday 6:30pm, Wednesday 8:30pm etc.

Defaults = GOOD

Team receives a loss and sportsmanship is unaffected

Telling IM Sports BEFORE your game that your team will not be able to attend

Avoids the Forfeit Fine

“DEFAULT” via Fusion IM

Keep in mind….

2 DEFAULTS = 1 FORFEIT

and the Forfeit Fine

Forfeits = BAD

Team receives a loss, lower sportsmanship and must pay the $50 Forfeit Fine

Forfeits can be but are not limited to:

Not showing up for your game

Not having the minimum number of players to begin a game

Multiple technical fouls, unsportsmanlike penalties etc.

1-10 Scale

Need an average of a 7.0 to be eligible for playoffs

8-10: Exceptional

7: Average

5-6: Below Average

3-4: Poor

0-2: Unacceptable

Rosters

2 teams of 5 players each

4 required to begin a game

COREC

Must always have 2 females on the court

Goal keeper may be of either gender but does NOT count toward the minimum of 2 females on the court at all timesSlide11

The Game

Numbers are REQUIRED on jerseys

2, 18-minute halves

Running clock

3 minute half time

Mercy Rule

15 or more points with 5 minutes or less remaining in the 2

nd

Overtime

5-minute Golden Goal

Coin toss will be used to determine who will kickoff

If the game is still tied after 5 minutes, Penalty Kicks will begin

Each team will receive 3 kicks alternately

COREC- MUST alternate male, female etc.

Entire roster must kick before using kickers againSlide13

Sportsmanship

NO SLIDE TACKLING

Automatic red card

2 Yellow Cards on 1 player = Ejection

1 Red Card on 1 player = Ejection

2 Red Cards on 1 team= Forfeiture

Red Card AND 2 Yellow Cards on 1 team= Forfeiture

3 Yellow Cards on 1 team= ForfeitureSlide14

Substitutions

Substitutions happen “on the fly” from the designated area on the courtSlide15

Out of Bounds

Ball goes out on a SIDELINE

Opposing team’s goalie will receive the ball for a “Goal Throw-In”

Ball must be touched by that team on their half of the court to be a legal throw-in

Ball goes out on a BASELINE/ENDLINE

Half-Court

If the ball goes out on the defense on their end of the line, the ball will be played from the half court line

Goal Kick

Granted when the ball goes out on the offense on the defense’s end lineSlide16
