The internship must be part of the doctoral program and must be under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, a psychologist who holds an American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) diplomate certificate, or a person who holds a doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited institution and has 2 years of postdoctoral experience in the work supervised. Depending on qualifications, completion of 1 year (1,900 hours) of approved postdoctoral experience may also be required.
