Major Claim

Sources of acid rain should be regulated to prevent damage to earths living and non living thingsSlide3

Testable Question

Does Changing the soil effect how the soil response to acid rain?

How does changing temperature effect of much rain?

If I change places it will it effect the way the rain is, it will not rain acid?Slide4

Procedure

We us chalk soil, regular soil, and we also used vinegar to test and see how much the soil bubbled up.Slide5

Graph of Rocky SoilSlide6

Graph of Chalk SoilSlide7

Conclusion

In conclusion our results ended with Rocky soil bubbling only by a little bit and chalk soil didn’t bubble as much as we expected.Slide8

Major Claim (Response)

I agree with the claim because acid rain shouldn’t be able to damage earth’s living and non-living things, but it may have side effects to some certain things like plants, animals, people. I also agree with the claim because acid rain should be regulated and should be safe to the world and won’t have any effects to living things and non living things.Slide9

Evidence From Lab

We learned that chalk soil bubbles up when affected

by chalk soil. When acid rain touches regular soil it does not affect the soil. We also learned that if we repeat the process, the plant would experiment would turn out in different results.Slide10

Evidence from claim

Evidence 1 from our article 1 agree with the claim because acid rain can damage the

environment and decay of building materials and paints, including irreplaceable buildings, statues, and sculptures that are part of our nation's cultural heritage.Slide11

Any source

The two compounds can travel long distances where they become part of the rain, sleet, snow, and fog.Slide12

Proven evidence

Our evidence proves that using many different materials, learning about acid rain and getting to test out our ideas on something like using acid items on a plant with soil and chalk soil.
