The target audience for Star Wars: The Force Awakens are old and new fans of the saga who want a Star Wars film just for them after the mostly disappointing prequel trilogy. The demographic is mostly male but also female as this film has a female lead. The main age group targeted ranges form 40-54 year olds who grew up with the original films as this movie is a direct sequel to the previous six films. Children are also part of the target audience as Star Wars is mostly considered as a family picture and Disney are a very children friendly company and wouldn’t want to loose that reputation.
