Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur represents is a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee and the Ranking Member on its Energy and Water Subcommittee. Recognized as a passionate energy independence, Congresswoman Appropriations Subcommittee to bring focus to efforts to securing energy independence at all U.S. military baseincluding her effort to spearhead construction er be included in a Farm Bill. Congresswoman Kaptur is the author of a Congressional Quarterly book, Women in Congress: A Twentieth Century Odyssey. Prior to her congressional service, Ms. Kaptur worked as a city and regional planner, primarily in Toledo and pted an appointment as a domestic policy advisor to President Jimmy Carter where she help revitalization bills through Congress. Congresswoman Kaptur holds a bachelor’s Wisconsin, a master’s degree in urban planning from the University of Mich interrupted by her run for Congress in 1982.
