Analyse

how verbal AND visual features of a text (or texts) you have studied are used to give audiences a strong idea.

This means…

You need an idea from the film and you will tell me HOW dialogue, music, sound effects and camera shots, costume,

colours

, lighting

etc help to make the idea real to you (the audience)Slide5

The purpose of this film is to show how much

much

control governments could potentially have over a population. It also shows how governments can abuse the power they have. On the other hand, the purpose was to show how one person can have a huge impact of a society through their action and my standing up for what they know it right. Slide6

Introduction:

Analyse

how verbal AND visual features of a text (or texts) you have studied are used to give

audiences

a

strong idea

.The purpose of this film is to show how much much control governments could potentially have over a population. It also shows how governments can abuse the power they have.

In the film V for Vendetta, directed by James

McTeigue

, the

audience

is given a strong impression about how easy it is give away your freedom to your government when you are afraid. It is easy for those in charge to abuse this trust and retain control.

McTeigue brings this to our attention through a range of techniques such as parallel imagery and symbolism between historical events in our own world and the film, dialogue and camera shots.
