Tissues were stained by using a cross-reactive mouse monoclonal antibody against DPP4 (CD26, clone OTI11D7, 1:2,500; Origene Technologies, Inc., Rockville, MD, USA). DPP4 expression was absent in the nasal mucosa (A) but present in lung tissue (B) of healthy domestic pigs.
