parental association and society and

representing their interests at the local, regional and international levels.

Equality and openness are the most important values of

our activity that allow to achieve the maximum benefit, efficiency and activity of the Association

. Equality

is a key principle of our work. In our

activity

we are guided by the values of an inclusive society in which the rights and opportunities of all members of

the society

are equal.

Openness

– the

full transparency of the Association's activities in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, rules and procedures of

our donors

(investors), open access to the results of project activities, trust on the part of stakeholders.

4In the implementation of its activities the Association is guided by the following principles:

the principle of consistency – in conditions of limited resources to direct efforts to systematic work

, we consider a necessary step to achieve the statutory goals of the Association;

the principle of compliance of our program activities with

the needs of families

in which premature babies were born

diversification of funding sources

improve the effectiveness of the Association

Public Association of

Parents of Premature Children “Rano

" is officially registered in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus on

May 12, 2017

. The

association emerged

following

the European

organizations of this type that works efficiently for years

.

According to the

World

Health Organization 2018

(WHO):

15 million

premature children

are

born

every year (before the full 37 weeks of pregnancy), and this number is growing every year

.

M

ore

than

4500 premature children

are born in

Belarus every year.

These figures indicate the need to attract

the public

attention to the problem of premature birth and the peculiarities of the development of premature

children,

providing information support and psychological assistance to

the parents

of premature

children.

6We joined in order to:

provide

information and psychological support to the parents of premature children;

help parents to master the skills of care for premature children and productive interaction with the child;

promote the level of medical and social assistance

to premature children;

represent

premature children and their families at different levels.

The strategic plan is based on the program activities related to strengthening the potential of the parent association, promoting the values of an inclusive society, creating and strengthening the image of the Association that affects the development of civil society, cooperation with the expert medical community in the interests of premature children of Belarus.

In 2017 RPA “

Rano

” became

a member of the European Foundation for the

Care

of N

ewborn Infants (EFCNI

) and signed the "European standards of newborn care

".

7As a result of plan realization: The main policies

(programme, personnel and financial) and procedures have been finalized and unified

.

Gained experience in project activities involving third-party resources.

A network of experts and local partnerships

, including public authorities, has been strengthened

The

office

is fully equipped with material and technical means and a regional

coordination network

of the organization was created among partners, within the country and the international donor community

.

Organization of informational

support on issues related to the development, care and rehabilitation of premature children, prevention

of preterm birth, as well as rejection by parents of children with developmental pathologies.

Providing

psychological assistance

to

the parents

of premature children (

consulting,

mutual assistance groups

).

Promotion of innovative methods and practices

in the care of premature children, their development and rehabilitation (lectures and

trainings for

parents

).

Promotion of professional development of specialists

in the field of developmental care and rehabilitation of premature

children (organization

of seminars, trainings for health professionals

).

Attracting

the

public attention

to the problem of preterm birth and development of premature babies (information campaigns and thematic events

).

9The main program activities of the Association are determined by the Board of the Association

taking into account the mission, goals and objectives of the Association, specified in the Charter

, by approving the calendar plan for the year.

The main activities are priorities. In its work, the Association focuses on its own

goals and objectives

, as well as builds partnerships with structures that share

the values and principles

of

RPA “

Rano

”.

In accordance with the declared mission and values, by 2021 the Association

should unite

the active community of parents of premature children of Belarus, become a stable organization with a clear internal structure, a volunteer network developed throughout the Republic, having a good reputation and authority among the organizations of the non-profit sector of Belarus, and influencing decision-making at the legislative level

.

of the Association for 2019-2021

Strategic

goals set the main directions, both in the program activities of the organization and in the field of organizational development.

12Goal 1. Program activityEnsure the implementation of program activities aimed at meeting the needs of target groups, based on the statutory objectives of the Association.

Task 1.1.

Implement a successful modern methods of nursing premature infants in the early stages.

Task 1.2. Develop

the algorithm to collect information about children of members of the Association for the formation of recommendations for development of follow-up observations of premature children of Belarus and to implement it with a frequency of one time in half a year.

Task 1.3.

Develop a system of psychological assistance to families in which a premature child was born

.

Task

1.4.

Create a system of information about the Association at different stages of nursing and rehabilitation of premature

children.

Task 1.5.

Develop project cooperation with local and international civil sector organizations (foundations, associations

).

1.6.

Develop a system of public involvement in the activities of the Association.

13Goal 2. Human resources (staff, members, volunteers)

To create a system of work with human resources for the functioning and development of the Association

.   Task 2.1.

Create a staff to coordinate the activities of the Association in the Republic, providing organizational needs and continuous work within the main activities.

2.2.

Develop a system of interaction with the members of the Association, which provides their needs in accordance with the statutory objectives, motivating to participate in the activities of the Association

.

2.3.

Create a program of work with volunteers, involving internal resources (members) and external (society) for the implementation and development of the project activities of the Association

.

Task 2.4.

To establish a mechanism for involving representatives of the medical community, including at the level of management structures, which will ensure a sufficient level of expertise of the Association

.
