Nancy serves as the Senior Quality Improvement Consultant supporting an international healthcare improvement collaborative, the Pediatric Rheumatology Care and Improvement Outcomes Network (PR-COIN). Ms. Grifn received training in under Dr. Brent James at Intermountain Healthcare System’s “Health Care Delivery Improvement Program” and completed Quality Improvement Training courses through The James M. Anderson Center for Healthcare Systems Excellence at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center; she also holds Six Sigma Greenbelt certication. Nancy has years of practical experience leading performance improvement efforts in a variety of healthcare settings including clinical process improvements for a large mid-western hospital system, population health initiatives for a managed care organization, and she served two years as an Examiner for Tennessee’s State Quality Award Program. Her clinical experience includes adult medical/surgical care, perioperative services, and cardiology Division of Rheumatology Special Lecture Nancy Grifn Quality Improvement Consultant, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center Objectives: Discuss ways to streamline clinic processes to reduce delays and rework.
