Doctor Octopus is a very dangerous enemy. He has eight mechanical legs, which can fire all sorts of bullets and exploding bombs from. It is not known how he become Doctor Octopus, but some say that he was a mad scientist who decided that he had had enough of being told what to do and instead wanted to rule the world. Whatever his origin, he is an incredibly difficult opponent and you will need to be on your best form to defeat him. Despite his apparent invincibility, there is a weakness in his armour around the lower part of his spine: that is the best place to attack him. Good luck
