S1 Music Lesson Starters & Homework Tasks

1. Lines and Spaces Before we start to play instruments, we need to learn a few things about music. We need to know how to read music and how to understand it!! To play written music we need to know what the LINES and SPACES are called.

2. Note Values So far, we have learned what a STAVE is and we know what the LINES and SPACES are called. Now we need to learn the value of notes (how long they last). We are going to start by learning 4 note values: QUAVER CROTCHET MINIM SEMIBREVE
