Flamboro Wells Project Summary
Reminder
The Flamboro Quarry Neighbour Wells Project is a proactive initiative undertaken by Dufferin Aggregates in preparation for extraction in the second bench
The purpose of extracting the lower bench is NOT to increase the quarry annual tonnage;
but rather we are
acting within our current license, we are licensed to extract to a depth of 230 mASl

Flamboro Wells Project Summary
3
20 new wells and 23 water treatment systems were provided to neighbours
Typical treatment system for new wells include Sulfur filter, Holding tank, repressurization pump, sediment filter, UV, softener, Reverse Osmosis
Follow up visits to ensure
neighbour satisfaction
are still needed at 5 locations (underway)
Current Floor ≈ 240mASL
252 – 255mASL
MNR Approval to 230mASL
≈ 6.6Mt Resources to 225mASL

Plan for Deepening
A phased approach / pump test will be needed to systematically evaluate impact to GW and neighbour wells that were left as is:Lower sump water level ±1m at a time, wait a few days to see impacts in monitoring wells then continue
E&P to work with CRA to give green light for each stagePump will not be lowered on a Thursday or Friday : ideally, DFA
will lower pump each Monday and CRA will download loggers each Thursday
Significant rainfall amount will immediately effect results and delay interpretation and pump test process
Current Level =
233
mASL / Final Level = approx. 228 mASL. Timeline for pump test =
MINIMUM 5 WEEKS
Sump depth must be lowered to below 228 mASL (current depth = ~232 mASL)
Example timeline: Pump test could run until July 25 OR LATER
Preparations for the Extraction of the 2nd Bench are Underway4Slide5
During the Pump test a Network of Wells will be Monitored Weekly to Determine Drawdown / Effects on Water Levels

DFA monitoring well:
Neighbour well:
Dataloggers have been
installed at some of the neighbour’s homes to monitor drawdown when DFA lowers the sump
3 dataloggers
installed
in
total (1 resident already had a logger installed)Slide6
Communication strategy with Neighbours
DFA to ensure neighbours are home during pump testThere are 3 neighbours on 5
th Line who have wells with unknown depths. DFA to stay in communication with neighbours who did not receive a well replacement
Assessment indicated low likelihood of impact based on GW flows and neighbour locations / well depths
Emergency
Provisions
Temporary supplies can be made immediately available via
500 gallon holding tank, etc. OWWE&P to ensure contractors are available to drill wells and install treatment if necessary
Hold sump until issue is resolved
E&P will Communicate Pump Test Dates to Neighbours of Concern as Well as Contractors
