Diligence

Hebrews

6:11-12

(

NIV)

11

We want each of you to show this same

diligence to the very end

, so that what you hope for may be fully realized.

12

We

do not want you to become lazy

, but to imitate those who through

faith and patience

inherit what has been promised.

Diligence is not passive waiting.

Diligent day after day, week after week, year after year

I

Shall INHERIT GOD’s

PROMISES

by FAITH and PATIENCE

Diligence = vehemently, with intense, passionate, fervent, Speedily, to dawn (Early), energetic , prompt, earnest Slide3

DiligenceRomans 12:11 Amplified Bible (AMP)

11

Never lag in zeal

and

in earnest endeavor; be aglow

and

burning with the Spirit,

serving the Lord

.

Hebrews 6:13-15

Amplified

Bible (AMP)

13

For when God made [His] promise to Abraham, He swore by Himself, since He had no one greater by whom to swear,

14

Saying, Blessing I certainly will bless you and multiplying I will multiply you.

15

And so it was that he [Abraham],

having waited long

and

endured patiently, realized

and

obtained

[in the birth of Isaac as a pledge of what was to come]

what God had promised him

.

Few can wait upon God for a few days or months

  Slide4

DiligenceEzra 7:23 Amplified Bible (AMP)

23

Whatever is commanded by the God of heaven,

let it be done diligently

and

honorably

for the house of the God of heaven, lest His wrath be against the realm of the king and his sons.

People don’t want to be taken into account in

church

People get offended if someone tries to raise their standard.

You don’t wait on diligent people, They are prompt and early

Lazy people are always late and full of excuses

Abraham hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet the 3 visitors – Though old,

He Was diligent and served them (Gen 18:2)

1

Peter

1:22

Amplified

Bible (AMP)

22

Since by your obedience to the Truth

through the

[

Holy

]

Spirit

you have purified your hearts for the sincere affection of the brethren, [see that you]

love one another fervently from a

pure

heart

.

1

Peter

4:8

Amplified

Bible (AMP)

Above all things have

fervent/intense

and

unfailing love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins [forgives and

[

a

]

disregards the offenses of others

].

Hebrews 6:10

Amplified

Bible (AMP)

10

For God is not unrighteous to forget

or

overlook

your labor

and

the love

which you have shown for His name’s sake in

ministering to the needs of the saints

(His own consecrated people), as you still do.Slide6

DiligenceWe are called/Predestined/Pre-appointed/Chosen/Pre-ordained to Minister to the Saints. There are many ways to minister to the saints (

By praying, comforting, encouraging, not forsaking the assembly of Saints

).

Galatians 5:13

Amplified

Bible (AMP)

13

For you, brethren, were [indeed]

called to freedom

; only [do not let your] freedom be an incentive to your flesh

and

an opportunity

or

excuse [for

[

a

]

selfishness], but through love

you should serve one another

.

We are Called to Freedom( Free from - lack, addiction, restriction ; We are healed, prospered , delivered full of faith, power

So that we can serve others

). This in turn will bring fulfillment, joy, contentment in our lives.

Be used by God to bring a harvest to a brother/Sister who has been sowing !Slide7

DiligenceEphesians 4:7Amplified Bible (AMP)

Yet

grace

(God’s unmerited favor) was given to each of us individually [not indiscriminately, but in different ways] in proportion to the measure of Christ’s [rich and bounteous] gift.

We are all gifted/graced to Serve one another

Ephesians 4:12

Amplified

Bible (AMP)

12

His intention was the

perfecting

and

the full equipping of the saints

(His consecrated people), [that they should do]

the work of ministering

toward building up Christ’s body (the church),

We are called to perfect the Saints, do the work of the ministry & build the Church

The Kingdom of God is the People Of God – The SaintsSlide8

Diligence1 Corinthians 16:14-15Amplified Bible (AMP)

14

Let everything you do be done in love (true love to God and man as inspired by God’s love for us).

15

Now, brethren, you know that the household of

Stephanas

were the first converts

and

our

firstfruits

in Achaia (most of Greece), and how they

have consecrated

and

devoted themselves to the service of the saints (God’s people).

Addicted to Serve the Saints / Spending their lives in Service to God’s People/ Given themselve

s to Serving God’s People – By praying, comforting, encouraging, not forsaking the assembly of Saints.Slide9

Let Us Say:- I am addicted to Serving the Saints. I will

Diligently

spend my life Serving God’s people.

I give myself to Serving my Family members.

I Serve the Saints God Brings in my life through giving, being a blessing in their lives, praying for them, comforting them, encouraging them and not forsaking their assembly or fellowship.

In Jesus NAME. AMEN
