Life Group Lesson October 6 , 2013 “ Jesu s Still Res urrects Dead Things ” - 45 Questions: 1. Jesus loved Lazarus, Martha, and Mary but He didn ’ t immediatel y show up and heal Lazarus. What have you ne eded God to intervene in but He hasn ’ Does it feel like He loves you? 2. Jesus showed up for Lazarus but He did it in His own timing and own way. Does God ever show up in our timing and under our terms? Why or why not? 3. Martha met Jesus but Mary didn ’ t even bother to get out of the house. At least Martha went meet Jesus when He arrived. Have the dead things in your life entombed you so much that you are paralyzed, indifferent, or apathetic ? 4. Jesus called for Mary when she didn ’ t initially show up. What hope does that give you when you act like Mary did initially? 5. He was the resurrection and the life (John 11:26) . Then He reminded her to believe (John 11:40). What keeps us from being consistent in our belief? Jesus was patient with Martha. How does Jesus keep reminding you to believe? 6. Martha said, “ But I know that even now God will give you wha ” Jesus lives to make intercession for us (Hebrews 7:25). Think about the phrase “ even now ” . What is God wanting to do even now – in spite of what is happening, has happened, will happen, has piled up, seems hopeless, and seems impossible. Can God work even now in your life? What stones do you need to roll away so Jesus can bring a resurrection ? 8. When Jesus calls your name, you must step out. What has Jesus asked you to do that you are disobeying Him in? 9. Removal of the grave clothes signified taking off the old dead life ’ t stay unclothed. What does God want you to put off and put on? 10. People saw what Jesus did and believed in Him (v. 45). People are watching you? W ill your faith allow them to believe or turn them off? Does how you believe affect other ’ s beliefs?
