Mia my Kitten

Splash! All of a sudden my kitten, Mia, jumped up onto the table tipping the green paint over. The wet mint-green paint hit the table and flew into the air. Mia’s grey and white fur was splattered with green paint. Luckily, my shirt only had one drop on it. Immediately, I picked her up and put her into the kitchen sink. I yelled for my mom as I turned the

water

on. She was splashing water everywhere trying to get out of the sink. Finally, we got all the paint off of her fur. She looked like a big rat with her gray and white fur all matted and wet. Since she was shivering and getting everything wet, we dried her off with a towel and hair dryer. She was very annoyed with us. This resulted to her trying to bite me as I was drying her off. Mia is the craziest feline ever, but she is also the cutest… sometimes. Her looks can be deceiving, her big bright yellow eyes and small grey and white body may look cute but on the inside she’s the devil. Anything moving is her prey, and as I am doing my homework the moving pencil I am using becomes a mouse twirling about around my paper. Mia saw herself as a fierce lioness stalking the twirling mouse. Finally, she decides to make her move. She sprinted over to the mouse, lifted her paws into the air, and tackled her prey. Which, on the other hand, makes me draw a line straight though my homework. Sometimes

she

will drive me crazy but she will also be the cutest, craziest, fun, and loving kitten ever!Slide6

This I believe

Learn From Your Mistakes

“A man may make mistakes, but he isn’t a failure until he blames someone else.” This is what John Wooden believes, and this is also what I believe. I believe that people should learn from their mistakes. Everyone should believe or agree with this statement as well. Even though people who make mistakes may repeat them, people can learn from their mistakes because everyone makes mistakes its whether they learn from it and it’s whether people choose to learn from their mistakes.

Overall, people who make mistakes usually repeat them. According to StartRunGrow, “Everyone has a past that they wished they could change but most of the time that can't be done so it should be left at that. It’s human nature to fail.” This is saying that all of us are human, and we all make mistakes. “So, are we destined to repeat our mistakes for the rest of our lives? Destined, no. Apt to repeat them, yes, unless we resolve the issues and get some closure.” This is what Dallas Munkholm says about repeating mistakes and I also agree with this statement as well.

Even

though people who make mistakes usually repeat them, people can learn from their mistakes because everyone makes mistakes its whether they learn from it. According to statistics 70 percent of all decisions we make will be wrong. This shows that people will make mistakes no matter what. Now that someone has made a mistake, they just need to choose the correct choice. The correct choice to make after someone has made a mistake is to learn from it.

The

most important reason people can learn from their mistakes is because whether people choose to learn from their mistakes. The key part in the previous sentence is to choose. If a person chooses to learn from their mistakes, chances are you won’t repeat that same mistake. If they don’t repeat their mistakes they will become more successful in life’s challenges. This is why everyone should learn from them instead of forgetting them or ignoring their mistakes.

Now

you can see that although people who make mistakes usually repeat them, people can learn from their mistakes for two main reasons. First, everyone makes mistakes its whether you learn from it. But most importantly, it’s whether people choose to learn from their mistakes. Just think of that famous quote, “A man may make mistakes, but he isn’t a failure until he blames someone else.”, after you make a mistake. Overall, if your mistakes make up who you are be sure to learn from them. I believe that people should learn from their mistakes.Slide7

My Biggest Influence

“Be happy, have fun, and do your best work!” my dad says. “Always”, I reply with a smile. This is what my dad says in the morning, before I go to school. He encourages me to do anything I want to do and helps me accomplish it. My dad influences me to be the best I can be.

My dad has thick, jet-black hair, soft ice-blue eyes, and a warm smile. In the morning, you should see his hair. It’s crazy, jumbled, and rumbled, all into an enormous mess. Although, he can always fix the enormous mess with a comb. My dad is good at sleeping, but bad at cooking. He can fall asleep in an instant, but can only cook microwavable Velveeta Mac & Cheese. He loves to watch any and all sports, from basketball to water polo. His favorite sport to watch, though, is soccer. Soccer is also the sport that I play.

My dad is always up for an adventure. He’ll tell me about all of his adventures and help me discover mine. My dad is amazing and he is a great part of my life. He influences me to do my best at everything and this has helped me a lot. Slide8

One More Step

“Just one more step,” I told myself,” just one more step.” I repeated again. Finally, I took that one last step. I closed my eyes as the wind rushed through my hair. The rush, the excitement, the adrenaline, the thrill of skydiving flashed though my eyes as I took the last step. All of the butterflies in my stomach flew away with the wind. I felt like I was flying. I finally opened my eyes to see the land that I was soon to encounter. The dive, unfortunately, was quickly over. I thought to myself, “Again!”, as a wide grin appeared on my face. Another mission accomplished, and now to my next memory in the making.

I

edged forward and looked down. Blue… blue filled with darkness and rushing waves. That was all I saw all the way to the horizon. I stepped forward in anticipation to finally decide to jump. Looking down, I saw the rushing waves I intended to encounter and the longest drop that didn’t seem possible for me to jump off. I stepped back, astonished with the height of the cliff I was standing on. I took a deep breath. As I stepped forward for the last time, I closed my eyes. Finally, I jumped. The wind flowed through my hair, and I dove down fast. When I finally hit the cold water, my body was flushed with the freezing temperature of the water that I was quickly surrounded by. My reflex was to kick as rapidly as I could. At first, I didn’t move upwards as expected, but soon I soared up through the water as fast as a jet. Quickly, I came up and saw the nice, blue sky. A grin quickly appeared on my face again.

At

least, this is how I hope it will go. This is how I believe that these two items on my bucket list will go. I hope to complete these two things before I die. I want to complete these specific things because they are two things that most people will never get to do in their life. Slide9
