FISD Drug/Alcohol Policy Centennial Football Alcohol/Drug Testing for Athletes Athletics are school sponsored activities that are not directly related to instruction of essential knowledge and skills, but may have an indirect relation to some areas of the curriculum. Participation in athletics is a privilege, not a right. Students shall meet specific requirements in order to participate in these activities. The District shall require all participants in athletics grades 9-12 to undergo random drug and alcohol testing.

E + R = OEvent + Response = Outcome Centennial Football We don’t control the events in life, and we don’t directly control the outcomes. But we always have control over how we chose to respond. Success is not determined by the situations you experience. Success is determined by how choose to manage the R (response)

Intentional On Purpose Skillful ABOVE THE LINE Behaviors BELOW THE LINE Behaviors Impulsive On autopilot Resistant

B C DCharacteristics of BELOW THE LINE behavior Blame (others) Complain (about circumstances) Defend (yourself)*When there is a lot of BCD going on, it means people are not owning their mistakes, not be accountable.

Player ExpectationsAlways Protect the Team (our values, beliefs, culture) Eliminate BCD (Blame, Complain, Defend)Be EARLY (early is on time, on time is late, and unacceptable)Be a GREAT TEAMMATE (Success) Centennial Football
