Claim ReportingWorker’s CompensationIf there is an employee on the job injury or illness:A. Use the “Emergency Management Procedure” flip-chartB. Refer Injured Worker to a Designated Medical Facility or the Nearest Medical Facility. Submit all WC Medical Bills to your WC branch officeIf medical care is necessary, provide transportation to a clinic or hospital.All employees must take a post accident drug testIf employee refuses medical treatment, document the incident and keep on file.All claims that need to be reported should be reported immediatelyIf medical treatment is necessary, the manager on duty can provide transportation to the clinic utilizing the company vehicle.If there is no company vehicle at the facility, the manager is approved to drive the employee to the clinic because an MVR has been reviewed.In the event of a serious injury, call 911.All Injuries, Property Damage, Theft Incidents, Involving Employees or Guests are to be reported Immediately to the Manager on Duty.Know where your first aid kit is located on the property.Investigate and document the cause of all accidents and note corrective action.If the employee is seriously injured, contact your Vice President of Operations and Ben Elliott at (979) 220-7920.24 Hour Toll Free Claim Reporting Center1-877-324-0891You Must Identify Yourself as a Prism Hotel Property

Claim ReportingGeneral LiabilityOnly Prism General Managers, Assistant General Managers or Managers on Duty should call in claims.Guest Property losses with an alleged loss value of less than $1,000.00 should not be called in. These should be handled as a customer service issue.Self-Parked Vehicles are NOT covered. If a guest vehicle is broken into please offer to call the police for the guest, but do not call into our insurance network. Please be sure you have no responsibility signs up in your parking lot.Always report Serious Injuries to guests and hotel patrons.Damage resulting from the Presence of bed bugs is a legitimate claim.Unlike Worker’s Comp Claims, there is no penalty for not reporting a Liability Claim immediately.
