Analysis

The song is based upon a group of youth’s committing violence in the area which they are from, in this case Peckham, London. A large amount of explicit language is used to portray their behaviour and dangerous lifestyle. From the outset the song can be interpreted towards criminal behaviour, for example “

Man don’t talk, man rob.”

Analysis

The artists are filmed in a large group to portray their power in numbers and threat towards others. There is a majority of males on screen, I believe this is to show their

maculinity

and confidence. Also it may be used to show they are protecting a specific location as they are filmed in front of a large warehouse.

Analysis

Throughout the video only males wearing black garments are shown. This is a colour which portrays power, violence and death in some cases. Some of the cast are shown to be using drugs during the filming which also shows their confidence and anti social behaviour.

Analysis

Hand signals are used a large amount throughout the video especially in close ups. In some shots the cast are pointing gun fingers which portrays their violent behaviour. It also links closely to the quote in Verse 1 “

And I got man that like violence.”

Analysis

Criminal behaviour is also mentioned during Verse 2 in the quote “

Man's getting robbed like

Chyna”. This refers to robbing someone who does not give them the money they need. A reference to selling drugs is also made in the quote “Came out the cells starting

sellin

‘.” This confirms that the lyrics and cinematography are based around criminal behaviour.
