Drilling Operations (up to 45 days)2The drilling rig will be a mobile “Jack-Up” unit with 3 or 4 legs, a drilling derrick and a deck.A full Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is being undertaken and an Environmental Statement (ES) will be submitted to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (

The maximum height of the legs or the derrick will be between 90 and 120m.

Visual impact of the rig from key onshore locations will be presented in the ES.Slide3

Drilling: vertical appraisal well vs extended reach drilling production well3 Vertical appraisal well to test multiple prospective horizons.Allows accurate logging / evaluation of the accumulation(s). 35 – 40 days to drill.Extended-reach production well with horizontal section in reservoir to efficiently drain oil. 100 – 150 days to drill. Would be drilled from onshore.
