Shotgun - Vehicle Self-inflicted (Turkey Hunting)
- Individual reached into the back seat, grabbed the firearm by the muzzle, pulling the firearm into the front seat. Firearm went off, causing a self-inflicted wound to the individual’s hand.
Shotgun - Field Hunting Party (Pheasant Hunting)
- Swinging on game. Hunting party was driving pheasants, a walker shot at a pheasant and did not check what was beyond his target, and shot an individual who was on post.
Rifle - Vehicle Hunting Party (Coyote Hunting)
- Individual shot at a coyote over the roof car. Looking through the scope the shooter did not realize the barrel was pointed down into the roof. The bullet entered the roof, striking the driver.
Shotgun - Vehicle (Pheasant Hunting)
- Individual jumped out of the truck to shoot at a pheasant, firearm went off causing a self-inflicted wound to the individual’s foot.
Rifle - Field Hunting Party (Coyote Hunting) Fatality
- Individual shot at movement while hunting
at night,
striking hunting partner in the chest.
