WHY IS THERE A NEW REPORT?
The External Awards reports in Analytics was missing information:They did not pick up students awards loaded directly into the Bursar’s feed.
When awards were updated, the amount awarded were not properly updating.
Graduate students mapped back to the Graduate College, not their academic departments.
The Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) has direct query reports in UAccess Student, but they’re limited in the how data can be pulled.Slide7
HOW DID WE GET A NEW REPORT?
The College of Medicine has a custom built analysis pulling directly from the EPM database. It pulls ALL student aid for the college.UAIR assigned developers to expand that report to the university.
An ad hoc committee was established to advise on changes needed.Slide8

IT DOESN’T INCLUDE:
It is not a snapshot in time. It looks at the full semester view, by semester, not by transaction.
The analysis is based on academic year, not fiscal year.
The report does not include cancelled awards.
Work study or GA salaries. Secondary academic plans.Slide11
IT DOES INCLUDE:
All awards, stipends, loans, and grants, regardless of how they’re awarded in the system.
GA and QTR placeholders.
GA remission, reduced tuition and health insurance.
Graduate students map to their academic college.
