Categories

Categories are used to make navigating the knowledgebase easier. There are eight categories which are also used in the CS Handbook:

Being ready for action

Looking the business

Meeting and greeting

Getting the basics rightMaking a difference

Playing it safeStepping upReviewing and improving

Categories can also be divided into sub-categories. For example, Stepping Up is divided into:Service disruption

Alternative routes

This helps to link articles on the same subject together.Slide4

Articles

Information is organised into articles. Articles are grouped under a category.

Sub categories allow a second level of grouping.

Very long documents, for example the Ticket Office Manual (166 pages), can be broken down into a series of articles linked together by a parent article to make it easier to follow.

Example

In this example, PIDD – What is Passenger Information During Disruption?, is the parent article.

10 articles are grouped under the PIDD articles.

Some articles have sub-headings like ‘Line Status’.Slide5
