WAKO USA Headquarters 11320 Kiley Dr, Huntley IL 60142, USA P: +1 (847) 530 - 8SST e Email: rob@wakousa.org e www.wakousa.org WAKO TEAM USA Kickboxing September 3 , 2019 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Athlete Advisory Council and Club Advisor y Council for Ring Sports elected during the Official WAKO Team USA Kickboxing Training Camp CHICAGO – World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO) Team USA Kickboxing held elections for the Athlete Advisory Council (AAC) and the Club Advisory Council (CAC) on August 10, 2019, in Huntley, Illinois. Among the three Ring Sports athletes ele cted by their peers were Amanda Ginski, Meryl Swidler, and Jimmy Whitaker. They will represent all WAKO USA Ring Sport athletes in an Athletes Council consisting of Tatami and Ring Sport athletes addressing any concerns and wishes of the athletes with the WAKO Board. One athlete from Tatami and on from Ring Sport will be appointed to sit on the WAKO USA Board. At the same time, three club Presidents from Ring Sport were elected to represent the club owners in a council consisting of Ring and Tatami club own ers to address any of their ideas with the WAKO USA Board. Among the elected club owners were Mark Greubel, Chris Cichon, and Ben Cutinello. The nominees had to have their members compete during a WAKO National or International tournament within the last t hree (3) years. One Club representative from Tatami and one from Ring Sport will be appointed to sit on the WAKO USA Board. “This election is a further step to strengthen WAKO USA. Having athlete and club/school representation on the Board of Directors ens ures that everyone’s interests are represented.”, said President Rob Zbilski in an interview with state media. About WAKO USA: WAKO Team USA Kickboxing is a registered 501 (c) (3) not for profit organization registered in the state of Illinois. It represen ts K1 Style, Full Contact, Low Kick, Point Fighting (USA - Sport Karate), Kick Light, Light Contact and Forms as tatami and ring sports in the USA. WAKO USA is a full member of WAKO IF (International Federation). WAKO is the world largest Kickboxing Associ ation with members located in all continents and recognized as the only Kickboxing Federation to representing its sport and disciplines by the IOC (International Olympic Committee), GAISF, FISU, ARIFS and The World Games .
