In the Philippines

flash floods

happen and loads of people panic about looking after their children, so they go to the highest floor and stay up there until the water goes down or if rescuers help them to transport on to a boat safely. Houses have been blown down and their personal stuff has been washed away. Loads of people have died, especially children who cannot swim. Children who are left in a poor house by themselves as their mum had to go work to get some money to eat. Children cannot sleep at night because the earthquakes are too noisy and windy.

Tagalog Song Back when I was a ChildBefore life removed all the innocence

My father would lift me high

And dance with my mother and me and then

Spin me around till' I fell asleepThen up the stairs he would carry meAnd I knew for sure I was loved If I could get another chance

Another walk, another dance with himI'd play a song that would never ever endHow I'd love, love, love to dance with my papa again, ooh

When I and my mother would disagree

To get my way I would run from her to him

He'd make me laugh just to comfort me, yeah yeah

Then finally make me do just what my momma said

Later that night when I was asleepHe left a dollar under my sheet Never dreamed that he would be gone from me
