5. Cell Phone TipsYour teacher sets the cell phone policy in their roomIt is up to you to follow the teacher’s classroom rules and avoid having your phone being taken away for the duration of the period/day

Cell Phone/Electronics Policy1st Offense – Item confiscated, 3 day of lunch detention, student may pick up phone after school from SAO2nd Offense – Item confiscated, 1 day of ISS, parent may pick up phone from SAO3rd Offense – Item confiscated, parent meeting and discipline at the discretion of the AP.*Refusal to surrender an item to a school board employee will result in an automatic referral and discipline at the discretion of the AP.

7. I’m OutTips for Leaving the ClassroomYou must have a pass signed and time stamped by your teacherNO PASSES FOR VENDING MACHINES!!!Admin will assume you are skipping class if you do not have a pass on you

8. Student Hall PassAny student wandering the campus without a pass will be subject to disciplinary action determined by the administrationIt is your responsibility to obtain a hand-written pass or classroom pass from your teacherSafety is our #1 Concern

9. Closed CampusOnce you arrive on campus you may not leave campus unless you are signed-out. Failure to comply with this policy will result in possible suspension as well as loss of parking privileges. Once you leave your vehicle, you may not return to the parking lot, for any reason, during the day.This does not apply to OJT and Virtual Placeholder students

10. Lunch You must report to the cafeteria area during your assigned lunch timeDuring lunch, you are not allowed to go beyond the outdoor seating area and must remain inside the Lunch GateAny student who has permission to visit a classroom during lunch MUST have a pre-arranged pass in handFailure to comply will result in a disciplinary action

11. Attendance PolicyGood attendance is a necessary element to successful learning!If you are absent, it is your responsibility to have your parent call the school to report your absence ON THE DAY OF THE ABSENCEAfter 3 days (excused or unexcused), medical documentation is requiredIf a student accumulates 15 absences in a 90-day period, his/her driver’s license may be suspended!

12. TardiesIf you are late to class (not in your assigned seat) without a pass, your teacher will record your tardy in the computer.Tardies are cumulative for every 9 weeks.Excessive tardies will result in disciplinary action and potential suspension.

13. New Tardy Policy1st – 3rd Tardy = Warning by Teacher4th Tardy = Tardy Warning Letter6th Tardy = 2 days of Lunch Detention10th Tardy = 1 day of ISS, Referral and Call Home12+ Tardies = *AP Discretion5 Tardies to a single class will result in Referral from Teacher

14. Signing In and OutIf you arrive at school after 9:00am, report to SAO to sign in. No sign-outs after 3:00pm (2:00pm Monday)Excused and unexcused reasons are the same as absences. You must have a parent or proper documentation for excused sign-ins. Parent must come or Student must bring in a signed note from parent for sign-out. You may not sign out without a signed emergency card on file.

15. Dress Code Violations @ RiverviewHead- Nothing Shall be worn on your head while on Campus. No Hats, Hoods, Hoodies, Due Rags, Bandanas, Ski Caps

16. Dress Code Violations @ RiverviewShirt- No shirt shall be short enough to expose the belly button or cleavage area. No tank tops (guys), spaghetti straps or sports bras. No garments displaying illegal activities, gangs, drugs, guns or offensive language or material

17. Dress Code Violations @ RiverviewPants & Shorts- No buttocks shall be exposed from lowered pants or short shorts. Rips and holes in pants shall not expose underwear

20. Zero-Tolerance!A student who commits a zero-tolerance offense faces certain suspension, possible expulsion, and possible arrest. School choice students who commit zero-tolerance offenses may lose choice privileges.Offenses include: FightingArsonDrug PossessionWeapon PossessionBullying / Cyber-BullyingWillful Disobedience / DefianceGraffiti or Tagging
