A House Beside a RockSlide2

“We must get a place of our own,” said Father. Father and Won Pil Kim had been in Pusan for almost six months and were living in a tiny room where they didn’t have space to teach people and invite guest.Slide3

The next morning, Won Pil Kim followed Father up the steep Pom Net Kol hill where Father had meditated and prayed so many times. “We will build a house right here,” announced Father pointing to a huge rock on rough, rocky ground.

“We will gather stones and wood and anything else to build with.” Father said.Slide4

All throughout August, they climbed the hill in the summer heat and worked on their little house. They gathered stones and piled them on top of each other and stuck smaller rocks and handfuls of sand to hold them in place. The roof was made out of cardboard boxes that fell apart when it rained.Slide5

Twice the little house fell down, but Father never even frowned. They finally finished in September and before moving in, Father and Won Pil Kim offered the house to God in prayer.Slide6

The Rock of TearsTheir house had no closets, no kitchen, no bathroom- just one room big enough for two people to lay down.Father’s friend Duk Moon Aum

came and the little shack became even more crowded. Slide7

Every morning, Father would wake up before the sun and would climb up the Pom Net Kol mountain to meditate and pray. Father would sit on a rock pour out his heart and cry to Heavenly Father and repent for all the pain that had been brought to Heavenly Father over the years. Later the rock became known as the “Rock of Tears”.Slide8

Now Father wanted to write down all his revelations of the Bible so he wouldn’t have to teach each person himself. After praying each morning, he would immediately sit down to write putting down all the information down that he received from God.Slide9

Father would write throughout a whole day. One night Father suddenly woke up Won

Pil

Kim and told him, “Please write what I tell you.” Then Father started speaking about the Second Advent coming to earth.

“Thank you,” Father said.

“It is finished.” And the first

Divine Principle had

been written.Slide10

The next morning, Won Pil Kim realized that Father was the Second Messiah because he got his revelations from God.Slide11

Questions:Can you imagine living in that kind of house? What kind of people would live in this type of house today? Why do we have to study the Divine Principle?
