Problems can occur when converting compressed images therefore uncompressed DICOM images are preferred. • To ensure a precise result, the distance between the slices should be as smal l as possible. Data slices should be 1mm to 1.5mm in order to provide quality anatomical models, anything over 2mm is unsatisfactory. Gantry tilt should be 0º and it is recommended that smoot h image options should always be used for CT scans. • The client will be informed if scan data is unsuitable for production of an accurate anatomical model. • CBM will send the client a quotation based upon the details in the CBM MEDICAL_ Request Form • E ach client case obtains a unique CBM identifier code. Each ‘model’, ‘guide’ and/or ‘implant’ produced will be labelled with this code as an identifier. • CBM will send the 3D reconstruction images to the client for sign off before the device will be manufactured. Please understand that CBM can only build exact anatomical models of the scan data provided.
