Business Mount Rushmore in South Dakota is a tourist destination The sculptor a man named Gutzon Borglum never finished his work If you study the faces carefully its clear that he spent more time on George Washington than he did on the other three presidents Thats because he originally planned to extend the figures of each president down into the chest area But he never lived long enough to see his dream through to completion His son continued his work for a few months after his death but he ran out of money
